Why I ship Galeniss…

Gale is Katniss’ absolute best friend. He loved her through and through. Inside and out. He had her back; she had his. “Gale is mine. I am his. Anything else is unthinkable.” 

Gale never told Katniss he loved her because he knew there was a risk. What if she freaked out? What if she didn’t love him back? So, he didn’t say anything. But he loved her so much. So much more than what he showed, which is just how he is.

Gale never tried to steal Katniss away. LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR. NEVER! Yes, he kissed her. But his intentions were not to steal. SO SHUT UP ABOUT THAT! He loved her, and he knew he couldn’t keep it to himself any longer.

Gale was there for her when Peeta wasn’t. He never let her down. He comforted her, and always had her best intentions in mind. 

Gale didn’t kill Prim. The bombs he made killed Prim. How was he supposed to know? He would never had done that if he knew. Coin was the villain. But he also knew that Katniss could never forgive him, so he left. 

He also left because he couldn’t stand to see the girl he loved with someone else. He left because he knew he lost, and he was accepting that. 

Gale loved Katniss. Katniss loved Gale. I forever ship them.

I love Peeta, but I love Gale more.
